Why not patch to the latest free-upgrade version, eh? That's a prerequisite before looking here. How about the T-Mobile test with YOUR mail server, or with another mail box on a different ISP? You're mixing apples and oranges. If POP3 is fine on your server from wired and dial-up connections, and POP3 is what T-Mobile is using, then you need to find out what you can tweak on the client. There may be some kind of MTU (or comparable wireless) issue.
