I have never tried to move over in an upgrade.

Or did they change that?? If they did, then I would 
move them over and then upgrade, And see what happens.
If it is the same registry setting, and they did not
screw up and change that, then you can do either and
it will (or) should work, 
I use v6.06, so.

But remember to find out about the registry setting
to make sure that IPSwitch did not mess up the world.
