Actually,  IMail  does just that for local domains--which is what Davy
is  getting  at--but only if you're using the spammer's friend, 'Relay
for  Local  Users.'  Others  have expressed his same frustration: that
this  welcome sensitivity to MAIL FROM: validity is abandoned once you
go with 'No Mail Relay.'

Obviously, IMGate can't do that for a userbase that is not accessible,
but the rest of your measures are impressive!

P.S.  Technically  speaking,  yes,  validating  against  a  local user
database  does  not establish that the user does not *exist* per se at
the  domain  (i.e. it could exist at a peer server) but the intent and
results are clear enough during the session.
