I can tell from the overwhelming response ;>0, that either I asked a stupid question or asked it in such a way that no-one has any idea of what I said.
Here it goes again incase it was reason #2. If it is reason #1 please ignore: We use virtual domains on our i-mail server that allows us to point many domains to a single list of accounts. Don't ask why we did it this way, it was a migration issue we had from coming from a SUN solution. Someone may be at [EMAIL PROTECTED], but his real account on the imail server is [EMAIL PROTECTED] customdomain.com is just a virtual host. His account has been set-up with his reply-to address as [EMAIL PROTECTED] However, when the customer puts in an auto-responder or vacation message, the reply is sent out as coming from [EMAIL PROTECTED], not the reply to address which is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Anybody have any insight on how to fix this or come up with some kind of work-around? Thanks. ======================= Bill Anderson Sterling Communications (503)885-8908 x225 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ======================= Sterling Support (503)885-8908 x223 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.sterling.net ======================= For network status and outage information, please see: http://www.sterling.net/support_networkstatus.asp > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Bill Anderson > Sent: Wednesday, October 02, 2002 2:52 PM > To: Imail Forum > Subject: [IMail Forum] Auto-responder bad reply to address... > > > In both the auto-responder and vacation message returns the actual imail > account@hostname rather than the reply to address.
