since the actual account for the user is on the hostname.domain.com domain
this will be the address of the replies generated by any of the info bots.
If you have the custom.domain.com set up with his address there and it is
then forwarded to the hostname.domain.com address you could set the info
manager to handle messages coming to this domain and then forward them off
to the other domain (see info manager set up).
