It look OK,
  lacofd.org MX (Mail Exchanger) Priority: 0 magic.co.la.ca.us
  lacofd.org MX (Mail Exchanger) Priority: 10 magic1.co.la.ca.us
  magic.co.la.ca.us A (Address) 159.83.181.41
  magic1.co.la.ca.us A (Address) 159.83.181.42

It should be trying magic.co.la.ca.us (159.83.181.41) before
magic1.co.la.ca.us (159.83.181.42) and never trying the A record
for lacofd.org (159.83.167.52) since there's at least one MX record.

You didn't mention what version you're running, there have been some
MX vs. A issues in older versions.
