Another possible answer - a simple router that can handle two WAN
connections for the upstream problem?

For my home office I'm going to have both an DSL connection and a Cable
connection. I'm getting a Nexland Pro800turbo, which load balances
across the two connections.

This is still theory, on order right now. If theory works, I'll have
somewhere around 3 Mbps down, .75Mbps up, redundant connections.

Hope this helps. The box is $370 from Tiger Direct (go through iGive
<grin>).
