hmm, you're just getting warmed up:

* separate imail spool dir and mailboxes to dedicated partitions, and
better, dedicated disks with tons of free space for .....

* defragging all partitions

* checking for huge .mbx files.

* turning off non-essential logging ( I think SMTP logging is the only
essential one to be on full time. POP and web logging can be off until
needed for debugging) even send the SMTP logging to another box as log
server or use Sandy's trick to separate logging dir from mailqueue dir.

* run that Declude QUEUE thingy to kick you mule-ish Imail in the ....
QUEUE (French for "tail").

Cosmopoltain tidbit: A "Q" is an "O" with a tail. Didn't know you could
speak French, did you?? :))

Finally

* remove Internet+SMTP and queue processing totally from Imail to an IMgate
box.

>  1GB RAM, with 4 processors.

yet another waste of money. :))) What do you use for a hard dick?
