I was wondering if anyone out there has made a tool to alert an administrator when your imail server is getting hammered by a certain email address. I have looked at Declude's Hijack, but this only limits outgoing mail.
Here's the problem, a user sends his newsletter (from his local smtp server), and 1000 emails bounce. (yes, it may be spam, but that's another subject) When these emails come back to my email server, that account fills up, then I suspect it starts bouncing mails back to the bouncer, then the server dies. I would like to at least know when this is happening. Maybe an exe that could look at the emails going by, and start intercepting emails to the same address after X number. Scott, if you are reading this, I think other mail admins may have this same problem, and if Declude hijack would nail this, that would be a great feature.
