The only SSL support imail has is in Webmail.  There is no support for
pop/imap/smtp/ldap over SSL.  This is easy enough to implement using stunnel
though.

Odds are that would make no difference in his case.  Even if there was
password compromise it's probably because [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s password was
"john".

I'd much rather see ipswitch put resources into some proper password
management than try to reinvent the wheel with SSL.

In an ideal world we would see:

Password Expiration.
Automated password expiration warning e-mail messages.
Password expiration warnings in webmail.
A simple mail.domain.com/password url to change the password(with
automated-redirect to the SSL version if enabled).
Basic complexity checks (username/length/case/special characters).
