Paul, Could it be that your internet service provider was down, out of service, between 3-6? Have you ensured that you have all power management turned 'off' for your NIC Card?
Ok guys, me again, seems last night our server stopped responding. Before we rebooted the system we checked the logs, checked task manager. POP3 was maxing out. Now the log files show logon/off the whole night, but the service was down from 3-6. No errors reported by anything, the server just stopped responding. This is the 2nd time it's happened. We're running a Gateway 2 Xeon 2Ghz processors and 2 Gb Ram, and 3 18GB disks. Log files show nothing out of the ordinary, but I could be missing something....... any clues where to start to hunt?
