No, the usual point is to block spam with the envelope sender as <>, aka "null sender", but if you're using that filter to some level of benefit that justifies being RFC incompatible, then you've got a weak approach to spam blocking.and before you flame me, I have turned mine off, and I understand the point was to prevent endless notification loops
