Here is the funny problem, my IMail 6.06 relay option set to "Relay for
Local Host" (I know this is not secure enough), but I found a spammer relay
large quantity of spam mail thru my mail server thru SMTP Authentication!
It isn't funny -- it's something that you should have expected (at least if Ipswitch were willing to have a warning when using the spam-friendly options).

Yes, SMTP Authentication!
No, not SMTP authentication. I'm not sure why you think that the "Relay for local hosts" option requires SMTP authentication -- it does not. Anyone in the world can just enter "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" into their mail client and send mail through your server, without requiring a password. It's that easy, there isn't any magic to it, nor is there any SMTP AUTH. Most spammers are really stupid, but I haven't met a spammer yet that is so stupid that they would break into an account to send mail when they can send mail without doing that.
