Yes, I had that once on our Web server. A hacker had gotten in and created
a series of subdirectories under one another, and filled them with stolen
software.... I managed to remove all but the root folder at the time and
plugged the hole. That root folder was not just a basic name, such as
'Unknown'. It contained some strange illegal characters in it that wouldn't
allow NT4 to do anything with it, much like what you are describing.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: strange directory

Hello all,

Excuse me for asking an OT topic. It appeared in my server a directory a
strange directory called (lets say) unknown. When I try to delete it
windows tells me "The file unknown cant be delete. The file cant be
found". Any idea? Thanks in advance

Roberto
