SUCCESS!
The process I outlined in my initial thread worked flawlessly. I used
WinZip to zip all required folders, transferred the entire server to the new
location, and went back online.
Total time was 30 minutes, including transfer of 167MB zipped mail server
file ("fast" compression via winzip, includes all log files, which I
probably didn't need), reconfiguring of 120 DNS zones (search and replace IP
address, two servers), and testing.
Thank you to everyone that contributed to our smooth transition, including
Rod Dorman, Jerod M. Bennett (who placed an original step by step a while
ago), and IPSwitch, for a great tech article.
