Hi All,

Lots of talk regarding this issue. I have scanned the archive numerous
times, but no solutions in sight.

I am migrating my Imail 5.08 on a PII 400 256MB IDE White box to
Imail 7.13 latest on a Compaq DL380 1 GHz 256 Mb SCSI Raid server.

Stopped the old server, copied the account directories, Copied the
Registry
for the accounts via regedit. Brought up the new Imail and every works,
POP3, SMTP, IMAP blistering fast compared with the old computer. Just
loving it.

Now, customers calling, complaining about the speed of the web
messaging.
I logged in on the server, with the 127.0.0.1 address to Web Msg and
slow....

If I am in a folder with 10 emails, if I even just sort the columns
differently
the response time is 15-30 seconds. Everything is slow. The cpu idles
along at
0->5%.

I know the disk is not fragged, as this install is new (very new nothing
installed
but W2K, SP's HF's Imail), just install in the past 2 days. Only
operational
for 12 hours.

Running the old NT4/Imail 5.08 (still!), and the same operations are 1-4
seconds.

Everything else about Imail on the new server is very, very fast
compared to the
old one.

The NIC in the server is the Dual Compaq built-in one, and everything
else
just screams. Plus I have not found anyone that this has really solved
the
problem with this change.

Of course the only fast operation is when the user hits the logout
button, and
this completes instaneously. :)

I hope IPSwitch is listening and can repro this.

Making the big jump back to 5.08 seems a bit much.

Thanks for any more info.
