(Still) using Imail v4, with the NT userid option. Have been
using the LDAP services of MS Outlook (versions 98 and 2000)
with no problems. For each of our users (only about 25), I
added "display-name" to their Imail LDAP settings, containing
<last name><,><first name>. This has been working fine up to now.

With Outlook 2002 (XP), it appears that MS has decided to
reformat the string returned by the LDAP server. All my
queries now return <first name>< ><last name>. I have been
unable to get it to change this behavior. I'm sure that the
"display-name" field is being used, because this is the only
place where I have some middle initials, and they are showing up.

If anyone has any ideas on how to get this formatted back the
way I want it, I would greatly appreciate hearing them.
(Unfortunately, throwing MS in an incinerator isn't an option . . .)

You probably can't tell, but I *really* hate MS.

Thanks,
Tony
