It is important to routinely clean out this folder for
"abnormally ended sessions" .tmp files? I currently 'nightly' clean out
the spool folder for .tmp files that are stuck. Thanks.

Temporary files created by web messaging for text bodies and uploaded
attachments before they are MIME-encoded and put in the SMTP spool.
Abnormally ended sessions will leave behind .tmp files.
