Hey just a note:

Go to B&N or any book story and grab the cricket book.  It gives a
great overview on DNS.  There are books just on M$ DNS but this one is
great from O`Realy

This site is cheese but simple http://www.acmebw.com/askmrdns/

With out DNS pretty much nothing works.  On the net that is.
