Because IMGate/postfix SAV is so powerful for mopping up what gets through, I'm thinking of just such a list for IMGate admins.> I suppose we could add a Declude list of valid announcement servers, would that work Scott? John? anyone? Euler? And who would maintain that labor intensive, ever changing list?
The utility is obvious, how to do it, isn't.
And it would have to an mta_client list of ip's, not a list of (forgeable) @sender.domains.
If for example, two airline lists that I'm on, nwa.com and aa.com announcement servers were whitelisted as ip's, but the airlines decided to change list server ip, you have to detect that and whitelist again.
That said, postfix SAV is so powerful, the whitelist maintenance is worth it. At a given ISP, I suppose the set of list servers to whitelist wouldn't be huge, and would probably be pretty stable.
