Currently I am running on a SQL Database with approx. 150 domains and
400 total users. I am in the process of acquiring another 100 domains and
another 200 - 300 users.
I will be moving to a new server and with only 700 or so users for now, but
with steady growth. I have always thought SQL would be the better, but
listening on this list has made me think that might not be true.
Hardware that will be in use (in case it matters):
Mail Server:
Dell 2400, Dual P-III 733s, 768 MB RAM, (2) 9.1 GB RAID 1 [system],
(2) 9.1 GB RAID 1 [spool & logs], (2) 18.2 GB RAID 1
[boxes]
SQL Server:
Dell 6450, Quad XEON P-III 550s, 2 GB RAM, (4) 18.2 GB RAID 5
the question is, should I take advantage of this opportunity to switch to
the
internal dbase (registry) or should I stick to SQL ?
Are there installs out there with thousands of users using SQL ?
Are there any tools to assist in my switch to the registry should I decide
to
do so ?
