SQL's advantages are reporting and other interfaces to non-IMail applications. The performance of the IMail database is so many times better than SQL, it's dumbfounding (10x to 200x+, depending on usage, and WM/WC usage in particular). You could use your SQL box as an (overpowered) IMail/Declude/mailbag box and speed up processing further.
