Sandy, Thanks for your response and explanation.
There are actually no "users" on this particular server apart from "Admin". The reason being that some of our clients have their own in-house servers and I have added their domains to the "Accept.lst" file. It works fine but as I say I need to keep the other buggers out. Why a separate server? Because I was not able to find a way to get the clients' servers to send user authentication. If you do then please let me know as this would resolve it all for me. The users who dial-in on the "other" server have to verify before sending mail using SMTP VRFY. That works fine. Allen > Does anyone know how to create a rule so that any spammers using the > format: > Anyuser@[ServersIPAddress] > Can be blocked/deleted... You can't, because IMail replaces the address literal (the bracketed IP address) with the name of the virtual host bound to the IP address before the rules engine sees the message, and adds the original X-RCPT-TO: after the rules have been processed--so at no point is the original recipient filterable. -Sandy To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ _____________________________________________________________________ This message has been checked for all known viruses by the MessageLabs Virus Scanning Service supplied by Aquatania Ltd.
