For what it's worth, we used NAIs WebShield (the SMTP virus scanner) and were pleased for the most part. One of the nicest features is that it would 'clean' the message instead of simply blocking it. On the downside, WebShield too often would hang and consume 100% CPU - which of course prevented it from receiving any more mail which is a really bad thing for a mail server to do!
We tried Declude AV on a new machine it works GREAT! The only, repeat *ONLY* downside is that it blocks the entire message instead of cleaning it. If a message is blocked, there are many notification options to keep all affected by the block informed. IMO, it is well worth the money and comes with excellent technical support. ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Eric Shanbrom" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 23 Jan 2003 13:35:30 -0500 >Some versions of NetShield will work just fine in email as long as it was >built to do so.
