John, that was part of the problem. In the Imail admin under localhost the host name was ppiserv01.ppidomain but on the old imail server it was peake.com. Daniel and crew pointed this out and after I changed it and deleted the key in the registry it was fine.It seems that there was a bug in one of the IMail 7.xx upgrades that caused it to change the Official Host Name of the server without even prompting (we're guessing it would do this in about 5% of all upgrades), which causes serious problems.
The best thing to do is switch it back to what it was before. However, with IMail 7.xx, the Official Host Name has a more stringent requirement than before: The A record needs to resolve back to your mailserver for web messaging to work. So if your Official Host Name was "example.com", you either need to change it (which can cause some problems), or have the A record for example.com point to your mailserver (rather than your webserver, which many people do). Hopefully, this will become configurable at some point.
