Can you make the list server in Imail send to a specific name such as Dear Somebody rather than just a blanket list feature? If so what is the code to get that to happen?
No.
The problem is that in order to do that, you would have to send out 1 copy of the E-mail for each recipient, rather 25 copies of the E-mail for all the recipients. For example, a list with 10,000 subscribers would normally have about 50 files in the spool (a Q and D file, handling 400 recipients) -- but with personalized E-mail, that would be 20,000 files in the spool, and would probably take much longer to deliver.
If you do want/need personalization, you'll need a full featured mailing list (which will have the benefit that it wouldn't need 20,000 E-mails in the spool, and could send them out faster as well).
