As far as I understand your email, you got it right. You want to setup virtual domains in your IMAIL server. If you have domain1.com, domain2.com and domain3.com in your imail server, just configure them as virtual domains.
Set their respective DNS's MX record to point to your IMAIL server IP address. Usually the way to do this is to create an A record to point to your IMAIL server IP address and have the MX records point to that A record. for more information check out these links.
