KM> What Exactly is the web spool? The web spool, located in SPOOL\WEB, is the place where unencoded files are dumped by IWEBMSG before being encoded by IMAIL1. When using webmail, every outgoing message is actually spooled twice.
Segregating the web spool from the (primary) spool has huge performace benefits for servers with heavy web usage. It is best accomplished using an NTFS hard link, though there are other methods. -Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
