In the Exhange System Manager you can see under SERVER > "servername" > Protocol > SMTP > standard virtual SMTP server > queue the different message queues. Unfortunately Exchange is very very unflexible and not admin-friendly in this things. I've had a lot of trouble in the last days with messages blocked in the "messages waiting directoy lookup" queue. No error message, all Exchange services up and running, but all incomming SMTP messages remain in this queue and ar not delivered to the users mailboxes.
If there are some messages not delivered ore something other then green checkmarks try to set event logging to mid or high (properties on "servername") and then retransmit the queued messages. If it's a standard installation and you use the first "default virtual SMTP service" you can see the messages on file system level under: C:\Programme\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\Queue If this messages cannot be delivered they are moved to the ../badmail folder Markus > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > John Tolmachoff > Sent: Saturday, March 08, 2003 12:11 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Exchange > Importance: High > > > Does any one know where messages waiting to be delivered are > held in Exchange 2000? > > John Tolmachoff MCSE, CSSA > IT Manager, Network Engineer > RelianceSoft, Inc. > Fullerton, CA 92835 > www.reliancesoft.com > > > > > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html > List Archive: > http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%> 40list.ipswitch.com/ > > Knowledge Base/FAQ: > http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ > > To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
