Personally, I prefer to keep ALL the load off of IMail except the
actual pop3/imap function.  All my postfix boxes handle everything
else, spam, antivirus, etc etc...

I don't even let my IMail box talk to the outside world, it will only
accept mail from my postfix boxes and sends all of its mail to the
postfix boxes.

You can build a nice redundant system for not very much money that way
as well.

I think you are going the right direction below, just my .02
