On the binary file I opened it up using a Binary Hex reader but I think it must be a bit more involved. It displays both the hex and the ASCII but I see no values that even resemble an IP address! Has any used a program to view this file that can explain what I need to do to check it?
It may be that the file is corrupted.
There may be a header, but after that, you should have groups of 8 bytes -- 4 bytes with the IP address, and 4 bytes with the netmask. So "0x0a 0x0b 0x0c 0x0d 0xff 0xff 0xff 0x00" would be an IP of 10.11.12.13 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0.
