What would microsoft have to do with that?
Because if you feel that you should not have to pay for programs to extract passwords, you should complain first to Microsoft. Unless you can tell me where your Windows passwords are stored in plain text.
If you are using the Imail Database then it is imail that is creating the registry entries, so why
would imail not know how to see the password if it already has the ability
to authenticate?
It does know, because it uses pseudo-encryption rather than a hash. If it is really important to you, take a look at the registry entries; it isn't difficult to "crack the code", if you don't want to get an addon that extracts it.
