Solutions is as follows:

Setup IIS SMTP default virtual server …

1.under properties  in General Tab

2.use your primary address or an specific address (don’t leave  the ALL Unassigned.. You can leave all unassigned, but if you want to control it later on, use an specific IP).

3.Click on advanced… button and edit the IP address. Write port 5025… it is just what we use.. it works for us J

4.Click in connection.. button and make sure to change port TCP to 25… and make sure it says 25

We suggest to add relay security… so you can select Access Tab and set to granted all local IPs of your server…

Apply all changes

Make sure smtp virtual server is stopped.

Turn off all IMAIL services.. actually you can turn off just SMTP service.. but just in case turn everything off.

Turn On SMTP virtual server (IIS). .it should start without problems.

Start all Imail Services

You are ready to go.. use your CDONTS to send emails through your IIS Virtual SMTP.

If any problems, make sure to review SMTP virtual Server logs.. they are very useful.

When server reboots you shouldn’t find any problem at all.

Regards

Luis

Subject: [IMail Forum] IMail Server 8 and ASP Form Scripts

Has anyone found a solution to using a ASP script to email form results when IMail server is installed?

I was using a script that made a call to CDONTS (which requires MS SMTP Service).  IMail and CDONTS do not work well together (if at all) and I need a solution badly.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
