In other words, 86 InterScan and get a better and cheaper anti-virus and
spam checking program. Gee, Declude comes to mind.

Or, they can keep InterScan and add Declude JunkMail, which would meet their needs here, and be less expensive.


But in this case, I would still recommend also taking advantage of the 30-day evaluation version of Declude Virus, to see what slips through InterScan. If nothing gets through InterScan, there's no need to purchase Declude Virus as well. But if nasty stuff gets past InterScan (as I'm guessing would be the case), 86'ing InterScan (or using it along with Declude Virus) might indeed be the best option.
