You may back it up 4 times per day, but to what, the same file? What if it
got hacked, then a minute later your backup ran and backed up the hacked
registry which overwrote the previous backup. Now what?

FWIW, my system state backups, while done everyday, have a different daily
job so that I end up with 7 system state backups per week.
