I'm fairly sure IMail isn't reaching the nameserver because I'm definitely not connected, and when I am connected the lookup succeeds. I wrote a test program to see what gethostbyname (the Windows API function for resolving host names) does while I'm disconnected. It returns an authoritative host not found error (11001), which seems a bit odd. Is anyone else using IMail over a dial-up connection?
