Thanks Scott, I did read that the way IMail processes mail the messages can
be delayed, but as IMail can typically send several hundred thousand emails
a day without assistance , i was wondering if there was anything blocks that
I can remove to make it more efficient...

That's quite normal for IMail v7 and earlier without any assistance.
