That seems to be a good way of doing it. My only question is can you
configure the first SMTP server to listen on a port such as 4000 but
then deliver to the second SMTP server on port 25 - I guess it is a case
of play with it and see.

    It is certainly not possible out of the box as far as I can tell.

    If you only require SMTP you could consider MS SMTP server which
    is freely distributed with IIS.  Many list members have done this.

    If you need a fully functional mail server you could install
    XMAIL http://www.xmailserver.org/

    I'm pretty certain IMAIL continues to use all IP's so the other
    would have to be bound to a different port.
