Are the 10054 errors from users accessing their mail via the internet. The
reason I ask is that I was receiving them when I first installed Imail, but
only from users on the local LAN that the imail server lived on. I fixed it
by changing their smtp and pop3 servers to the local LAN name of the machine
instead of mail.domain.com.

a 10054 error could also be caused via a switch or hub that is going bad.
Yet another possibility is that the other end might be having problems. If
you are noticing the 10054 erratum concentrated to one host then that's a
possibility. My best guess would be hardware related though.. switch/hub.
