I also believe this to be your solution. 

I recently translated IMail into a Norwegian.js Language Pack and had to
adjust i for ASCII characters before beeing able to remove the
"undefined" problem.

Also when adding a language, you have to be careful to adjust the
correct files (all with *language*.cgi in them) and be aware of possible
linebreaks that may appear/be added in this files when opening them in
different kind of editors.

This should free you from the "undefined" problem.
