Poor u :) We used post.office many years ago until it was hacked and spooled the server to death. We had been planning to move to Imail anyway, and did. One of the main reasons was for the listserve ability, which unfortunately has not been improved ever. As u astutely point out, the web interface for management is impossible to work with for large(r) groups and lists. As u most likely noticed, it was intended for small work groups or departments managed by single user/moderator.
1. The adding of 200 users u mention below can be done simply with a users text file in the list folder. 2. There are a # of dedicated list servers out there (http://www.liststar.com/ etc). For this kind of volume - admittedly 300,000 emails/day u say. The gist of what u said I believe is u want Imail for your lists. If this is the case, bottom line *don't* based on your needs provided below. That said, if ur using post.office now Imail would be an improvement on a # of levels. With Imail I have to add or remove one at a time and submit and wait for the page to reload. Adding 200 email addresses this way is obviously not very effective. I have written my own templates using the base templates as a start that are pretty decent looking (and stylesheet driven) but I haven't got into redesigning the way the templates actually work far as adding names to the list, etc. Hopefully someone else has this problem and has already fixed it :).
