Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having a set limit? There are those that
think the web service is a storage for mail, and will not delete it. Box
fills up, they call and complain they have no new mail. We're not a storage
service. How much "overage" would you find acceptable? 10MB? 100? If that's
a problem, you could set the max size manually, and switch it back later.
On Exchange at work we have a 50Mb limit and then you can't send. When it hits 100 or 150Mb (depending on who you are) then your mailbox starts bouncing mail. When you cross 50Mb you get a notice telling you so. That setup works much better IMHO then simply getting completely cut off at a single value.
