Wow. So much for having redundant systems.... -----Original Message----- From: Cory Coddington [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 3:47 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Domian Name Server Addresses and SMTP Delivery
I just spoke with tech support on this. They told me IMail will not see the other IP, and its recommended that you only use one IP in there as the others will cause problems. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of ITG Lists Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 1:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Domian Name Server Addresses and SMTP Delivery Hi, I am running 8.02 and have 2 name server adresses listed in the SMTP settings, separated by a space. The first address (xxx.2) is for my secondary name server, the second address for my primary name server (xxx.1). I do this to reduce the load on primary. Last night my secondary name server died. I found 2,000 messages in spool folder this morning, nothing was being delivered. Does anybody know why iMail wouldn't use the 2nd name server that was defined - the .1?? Please .cc me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks!
