If anyone has a solution for this, I'm all ears. I ended up writing a small program that did a DNS lookup against my BIND 9 server every minute or so, and if it didn't get a response, killed the process and restarted it. A messy hack, but it works.
i have a bka.bat, bind keep alive, runs every 5 minutes, and that emails me when it decides to kick bind.
bind9 can work very well on win32, but if it doesn't on a specific machine, I know of no way to stabilize it, then drop back to bin 8.4.1, but bind8 doesn't have the delegation-only zone type that ISC has implemented to kill the Veriscam trick.
