What we have done is create a new domain with our .internal as the TLD. We then setup the lists to be in that domain because it is an invalid TLD for the net spammer have not found not fond it and we only allow our own domains email addresses in the list. Our users can add and remove from the lists on their own and we have setup some that do not allow subscribing.
