changes i have applied to my win2000 server ....

i have applied the registry hack from
http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20020411-DM03.htm some time ago with following
values:

usemulticonnect =1
maxconnect = 18

i have changes the odbc entries options to following:

site timeout = 15
buffer: 4096

additionally i have tried some tips from www.pureperformance.com

http://www.pureperformance.com/js/showtip.asp?id=125
http://www.pureperformance.com/js/showtip.asp?id=56
http://www.pureperformance.com/js/showtip.asp?id=50

settings of the intel NIC:
increased the value of RECEIVED BUFFERS from 48 to 64

all these changes are running over months on my DELL Poweredge 16xx server.
i dont know if these are the optimal changes. have anyone other/better tips?

but my pop3d still make problems.

best regards
hannes

Is this true? We have been using ODBC with IMail version 6 and now
version 8, and if there is a way to improve ODBC connections I would
really like to know.

Could someone at IMail confirm this please?

>If you are using ODBC connections ipswitch had a registry entry that

that problem as well and this reg fix did the trick. I'm sorry as I
can't remember the KB article on it. I think if you >do a search or ask
ipswitch they could point you to it.
