We have our dual 1GB cards disabled and are using the 3c905 type NICs. Our servers run great except for webmail, which crawls during logging in if the user has more than 15-20 'folders' (i.e. *.mbx files).
If you are having problems, I recommend replacing the card. If nothing else, you are eliminating something that Ipswitch can assume is the problem.
