We're having the same problems. They seem to be
centered mostly around sending email to Yahoo. I've
swapped nic cards too and it doesn't help.

In general, if you can send mail to most domains but can't send to one or two, there is a problem on the receiving end (this isn't always the case, but usually is).

If anyone solves the MX Connect problem please share
it on the list.

That's like asking "If anyone solves the problem where the taxi can't drop me off on my boat...". It isn't necessarily a problem with the taxi.

The MX Connect message is just a message indicating that IMail can't reach the remote mailserver. If you are getting that message for *every* E-mail, you have a serious problem. If you get that message a lot (perhaps for 10% of your E-mail), there is likely a network card issue. If you just get it to certain domains, it's a problem with those domains.

Although, late last night
email to Yahoo suddenly worked and I had about 300
queued messages finally go out.

That almost definitely means that there was a Yahoo issue.

I'm having the same problems. Just got off with support and they
stated that the "send Error 10054" Errors and the "MX Connect
Fail" is due to the network card dropping connections....

This just isn't the case. That would be the case if it was happening a lot and randomly. But when it happens to specific domains, it isn't a network card issue.
