No it doesn't, but my review of the logs show very few skipped files on a system with 1000+ users, 5-10K messages daily, and approximately 10GB worth of stored messages. So the solution does work. On a side note, I'm not sure how much of a problem locked files really are. The contents of an email server are constantly changing, so backup is only a snapshot in time. The backup therefore is a best effort solution to recover from disaster. A RAID solution, while not a backup solution provides enough redundancy to stave off data loss by hard disk failure. This is probably the number 2 cause of data loss, the first is probably human error.
