Good Morning Everyone,

I trust that the Doom virus is keeping you all busy as well as myself.
What bored piece of trash goes around creating these things anyways?

I have always read a lot here about replacing standard Intel NICs with 3COMs
to solve a host of odd behavior problems. I have seen odd problems come and
go and come back gain for no apparent reason. I am starting to wonder if
dropping a few hundred on some good NICs wouldn't be a bad idea. I mean it
won't hurt anything and if nothing else, I end up having a few good spares
around the place it doesn't change anything. My questions is, which 3COM
would you recommend upgrading to. Right now I have 10/00MB Intels that came
with my Dell servers. I don't have any fiber, so that won't be any use. Is
there a point where no matter what NIC I get I won't notice improved
performance unless I upgrade switches, routers...yadda yadda yadda. Or will
there be an overall better performance no matter what - even if it's hard to
see all of the time? I am interested to see what you all have upgraded to
and how it has worked out for you. I would be doing this on my mail
servers, dns servers, web servers to add some performance enhancements.

Thanks for your time and info!
